Geography of Can-Am bicycle production

Below is a fascinating map created by Bicycle Retailer and Industry News of bicycle production done in the United States and Canada as of October 1, 2011. As is evident from the map, most of the significant bicycle manufacturing and part production facilities are situated along the West Coast and in the Rocky Mountain region. There are a few other nodes, such as the Madison, Wisconsin area (Waterloo, WI is home of Trek), Tennessee, and the Northeastern United States. Interesting stuff!
