Pedaling to better health

We are all aware of the environmental benefits of cycling and bicycle commuting, but the public health benefits are just as important. The first chart below shows the clear difference between higher rates of bicycle usage and the corresponding health benefits (in terms of to lower obesity rates) found in European countries versus the United States.

The second chart how getting out of the car and onto a bicycle would help many Americans improve their health and reduce their commuting costs.

I love to cycle around but if my job was closer to me I would definitely ride my bike to work. A bunch of my friends do it all the time because they are within ten minutes or so from their jobs and they absolutely love it. Great post and enjoy your time with the family:))
